The Easiest Decision That People Try To Make Hard Every Day- Jesus Christ.

I have never been one to take people’s word for things and it was no different went I got my first bible bruise on my head from a bible thumping Baptist who thought he WAS Jesus I think. I did not say  ” ouch that hurts” I think I will dedicate my life to Christ. However I was also smart enough not to let one irritating Christian chase me away from Christ, just in case my investigation decided that Jesus really was who He said he was. After all his- comments were not too light- like John 14: 6- ” I am the way the truth and the life, NO MAN shall see the Father except through me”  If I did scratch him from my list, I wanted to be sure.

I enjoy investigating things, and finding out for myself what truth is about anything. I read some good books, one was about the 1500 different  ” religions” or cults around. I noticed one thing right away,  nobody in these cults claimed to be God other then Christ. Then I noticed that every single other religion had something you had to do for God to earn your way in. Christianity was the only one where God came to us an we had to do nothing but accept his work on the cross. That got my attention since I tend to be lazy. So after reviewing my top 500, I decided to see if any way possible that they could live together.

Nope.

When it came time to get into the Bible I clearly saw that there was no options in this book. God was GOOD and loving, and required nothing of us, and it did not leave the ” all paths lead to God option” even if I held it upside down or sideways that was a deal-breaker. The one area that it did leave room was the area of seeking and finding. The bible says ” anyone who seeks me, finds me” . Now that is more my style. I wanted to FIND , not be told or guess or whatever. I chose to give the God of the bible a shot at being fortunate enough to have me along side Him in heaven, if there was a heaven of course.

I sought. I asked Him to show Himself in my life. I prayed like it said I should in hopes I would hear back. Before then I had given a few shouts up to others to see if they were real, Thor,  Ghandi and the like – nothing but static…Long story short my decision to accept the free gift of salvation in Christ was not based on debate, or just studying every verse or whatever. It was solely based on the fact the He revealed Himself to me in a way that there was no doubt. He has not left since. I am 100% sure that Jesus of Nazareth is who He said He is.

Believe it or not, that is not the main point of me writing this.

My reason for this post is to point out the most interesting fact to me of any of this, the fact that people who want to debate me, or ask about Christ or doubt His deity are willing to pull out all kinds of Jehovah witness or mormon books or tons of other literature and want to compare. But I don’t debate. I say ” lets just cut to the chase, when you get home in a quiet place tonight call on the Lord Jesus and ask Him to forgive you for your sins and come and reside in you from that moment forward. If He shows, He shows.

If not keep waiting on the big dead  buddha to “holla”

Do you know that more then not they say ” NO”. I ask why and they don’t have an answer. After a few years I realized what it was all about. I would say the name of Jesus in Wal-mart and get dirty looks. I would be pumping gas an have a Jesus song on and the person near would give me a dirty look. It is the name, there is something about the  that name. So I ask you this, no matter what you believe ( other then Christian) what could possibly stop you from a simple experiment like humbly asking Jesus to come and live in you- except of course. if you…..well  l will leave that between you and Him..

  1. I am also certain that Jesus Christ is 100% of who He says He is. His name is wonderful, and marvelous, and He is worth seeking and finding for yourself. One of God’s promises is this: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)
