Disney Promotes the Gay/ Lesbian/ Transgender Lifestyle- Really?
My child could be disciplined at school for wearing a Jesus shirt, or praying on school time. We have kicked God (in our own minds) out of schools and most other places to. Heaven forbid we accidently teach our children right from wrong. We have fought any attempt at morality in this country, and people are mad as hell that there is a cross standing as a memorial near ground zero.
Our country is falling apart, up to our necks in decay and acting like there are no rules at all. Anything goes these days, and we are supposed to accept anything as acceptable. If you beg to differ , you are a bigot, and narrow minded. The latest marketing move by Disney World is to host the most violent addicted, unstable, and most sexually promiscuous group of people known to man.
Statistics show that the gay lifestyle results in more domestic violence, more substance abuse, fewer long term relationships, and an unreal amount of sexual partners. So because they happen to be gay, lesbian or transgender we have to force our kids to see and learn about them, all in the name of equal rights? I do not understand. I am not judging anyone, as I am not the Lord, and nobody will have to give account to me for anything. I am simply pointing out that there is a huge double standard in this country when it comes to what our children should be exposed to. We are supposed to be open minded, and tolerant of the most dangerous group of people around.
What about the KKK or groups like that? Why shouldn’t we teach our children about their lifestyle? Its much less violent than the other group, and hey, its just being tolerant, right? We should not judge them, if we are not judging the gay-lesbian community, right? The bottom line is that people have a free will to live and do as they please, regardless of whether or not it is harmful or dangerous. As a parent however, I do not have to make my kids keep company of violent and unstable people of any sort. The fact that Disney turns their head to the facts about these people they are romancing is clearly a financial decision. They have sold their soul. I will avoid Disney and will teach my children that the safest and most stable relationship is one between a man and a woman. Do I still have that right?
Pedophiles seem to get away with much more damage and much more heinous crimes than others, and it is not getting any better. Nobody really likes to discuss the subject, as if it will fade into oblivion if we omit these unspeakable acts from our daily conversations. Ironic to me, as a parent and as a social worker since the most hurtful and dangerous violations of human beings are committed over and over and nobody seems to be jumping out of their skin out of concern.
I could be missing something, and I know there are groups out there working hard to catch these predators – it just never seems enough to me. I mean as a parent alone I cannot express with words how angry I get at the idea of someone violating innocence so casually and selfishly. I cannot ever justify or rationalize this particular issue. It haunts me and I am concerned that people are so easily passing their children around like hot cakes from one person to another and trusting anyone who ” seems nice” to watch their children.
I see teachers, police officers, counselors, youth pastors, and many others quietly arrested for these incredibly horrible crimes all day long all over the country, and yet I feel like I am the only one worried about it.
I still remember the day that they found little Jessica L. in Florida, buried in a trash bag, filled with holes from her trying to scratch her way out while dying underground after being raped over and over. She was maybe 7 or 8 years old.
It breaks my heart when I hear about these things, and especially when I am daily seeing more and more predators moving near schools and parks, for a clear view of plenty of kids. Out of the very tiny amount we do catch, we are letting them off with light sentences? Really? Are you kidding me?
It is time we get serious about these child killers and actually give them the attention they deserve. I know I do. I will. I am always on the lookout. I do not leave my children with just anybody, and be sure that I would much rather find that I had left my child with about anybody other than a pedophile. I would much rather stick needles in my eyeballs than leave them with anyone I was unsure of, but child predators are totally on my radar. It does not get any uglier or hideous than this lowest of all deeds in my book. It isn’t just old uncle Joe who is secretly molesting little Johnny or Suzy once a year . It is their teacher, their youth worker, their person of trust in their life and worse than I can imagine , sometimes it is even their own parent.
Pedophile are not all one eyed and wearing pony tails like the creature in the photo here. They look like you. Professional. Outgoing and popular but with a secret, a secret that could change your family forever if you allow it to.
We cannot screen every person that ever interacts with our children, but we sure can take the time to be where they are when we can. It is difficult logistically sometimes, we get tired and have other things to get done.
However, gone are the days of letting your child roam the park while you read a book on the other side. You have to follow their lead, be the eyes they need and the ear they need to protect them. How many more children need to get raped and tortured before we take this seriously.
Please, if you err, let it be on the side of caution. I would rather have someone tell me I am over cautious than find one of my children missing.
Doctors have the highest suicide rate of any profession, as most sources will report. In psychiatry for example there are 3 major obstacles to be aware of, that can affect both the patient and the psychiatrist;
1- Drawing a line between treating and empathizing with others and actually carrying the burden of the patient by over sympathizing and attaching. Many doctors have a difficult time separating their life from the lives of the patients they treat. This has proven to be a factor in the suicide rate of doctors in general. The profession alone has the highest suicide rate of all professions, Depression, then can come aboard and eventually it has led to the death of 400 doctors per year, by suicide. There are other factors that can also lead to depression however this seems to be the most prevalent.
2- Stigma/ Consequences attached to self reporting or seeking treatment. Who wants to go see a depressed doctor? The possibilities and scenarios are endless, but sadly there are few if any ways to get the help needed and maintain a level of confidentiality. This, in and of itself has proven to be a major player – untreated mental illness in the field.
3- The knowledge and resources needed to carry out the act of suicide. Suicide is 2nd only to accidents in deaths of physicians. Many times when the option is readily available, the chances of follow through go up. Although hand guns have been used in many deaths, many other methods have also been used by doctors who are well aware what it would take to end their life by chemical ingestion of some type.
It seems we have a weak link in the chain of providers, as these professionals are not really allowed ( professionally ) to have depression, or suffer from a mental illness. Any resources for physicians who need confidential care themselves should be available for them.
Never forget the wounded healer…
Did you know that people who care for those who are suffering have a very high risk for what is known as Compassionate Fatigue? As a matter of fact, around 85% of all ER nurses meet criteria for this problem, which could lead to serious depression and even abusive behavior towards the suffering patient!
I understand that in the burn unit at most hospitals, where much pain and suffering takes place, staff are rotated in and out of the unit every few months or so. The reason behind this is that there is a high risk for both the caregiver and the patient , should the caregiver become fatigued and tired of having to see and care for such suffering. Steps to prevent getting to the point of fatigue are fairly common;
-Maintain a healthy social and physical life outside of the workplace.
– Try to detach as much as possible from the problems you are addressing.
– If possible, have a balanced client list or schedule based on level of intensity

Sexually Assaulted While She Is Pulled Over – COP Assaults Her While on The Clock!
I thought I had heard just about everything, when I see this article about a police officer who pulls a woman and her boyfriend over, removes the boyfriend, and proceeds to sexually assault this woman. If you are wondering how this ties in to the blog, it is the abuse of power that sometimes actually is responsible for preventable crimes, and other events that can cause long term mental health issues. Another reason why I vote to hire police officers with higher education and more testing, and much more pay. Too many are given a gun and a set of cuffs without and sent out like loose canons in this world. Come on already. We need to do something.
Everyone knows the police occasionally turn their heads when they meet with petty, victimless crimes. How about a Police Chief in Florida who covered, and purged himself for a CHILD MOLESTER?
Unreal as it seems, it is true, and he is now headed to prison. How can we protect our kids when the “Head Protectors ” are on the wrong side?
