Every now and again I meet or talk to somebody who does some unusual kind of work that makes me go into ” pause” mode, if you will. Today I met Cathy Hartman, of the Florida chapter of TEARS Foundation, and I was in “pause” mode for quite a while after getting this information. TEARS helps those in the very darkest of times, those who have lost children. Babies, unborn or born, and children up to 12 years old.
As a professional, seeing someone lose a young child is heart wrenching.
As a parent, it shakes the very core of my soul to even think about it.
Yet I have been witness to way too many families who this has happened to and actually have some first hand experience as well. I will tell you that the last thing on a person’s mind when this occurs, is how to pay for a funeral, and related services. TEARS helps hold up those suffering a broken heart by assisting with expenses related to these tragic events. They do the work of angels, when people just cannot even think straight due to the loss of a child. They do much more than that too, and it is all on their website which I am sharing and asking that you share as well.
Hopefully you will never need to use this information, but share it just in case,
Hit this site with any questions and I will make sure to put you in touch with someone who can help . This is real life, sad as it is, so keep it real by sharing with your people, what these workers and volunteers do. Look at the site and find out what else they do as well!
